The Global Programs department in the Office of Global Engagement provides opportunities for students from international partner universities to study at Temple University through programs such as student exchange, inbound study abroad, and dual degree programs.  Temple University works with over 200 international partner universities on various cooperative programs.

 

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Global Engagement, the Associate Director for Global Programs will be responsible for program management, marketing, and recruitment of graduate partnership programs, including the Dual Bachelor’s Master’s Degree program (DBMD), a special accelerated master’s degree program for international students at partner universities.  The Associate Director will work closely with Temple’s partner universities to oversee the management of the partnership programs, cultivate new partnership opportunities, and maintain a successful collaboration. The Associate Director will work with the Assistant Vice President and Marketing Manager to develop and implement a cohesive marketing and recruitment strategy to increase the number of international graduate students applying through partnership programs. 

 

The Associate Director will work with the Program Manager and part-time assistant to support students enrolled at Temple through partnership programs, including during the application process, pre-arrival communication, orientation, and throughout their program at Temple. The Associate Director will assist in managing other partnership programs, including the Foreign Fulbright Student program, Global UGRAD, COIL collaborations, and other special projects.  They will work with the Assistant Vice President to support the development of new partnership and scholarship programs.  

Essential Functions of Position

*Oversee the DBMD and Fulbright programs in collaboration with colleges, departments, and offices across Temple, including, but not limited to, providing arrival assistance and orientation, ensuring that all students meet their program requirements, and providing general academic and student advising during their time at Temple.

 

*Work with the Office of Graduate Studies and academic departments to review graduate applications to provide consistent communication, outreach, and follow-up to Global *Programs students and partner universities.

 

*Collaborate effectively with Temple’s partner universities and sponsoring organizations to communicate issues, share program information, and facilitate the management of the partnership programs.

 

*Manage marketing and recruitment for the DBMD program, including, but not limited to, the development of print materials, social media outreach, and prospect and yield communication to increase the number of applicants applying through this program.

 

*With the Assistant Vice President, identify and cultivate new partnership and program opportunities that contribute to the university's strategic goals.

 

*Represent Temple University at off-campus international events, on-campus delegation visits, international conferences, and international partner visits.

 

*Contribute to the team effort by accepting additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant Vice President of Global Engagement.

*This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote); the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
