We welcome well-qualified and highly motivated individuals to apply to the position of Director of Admissions.
This position is responsible for directing the College’s credit-based admission processes, including recruitment, yield analysis, and reporting. This position requires travel outside the local area up to 30%, occasionally overnight.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administers the Office of Admissions to support the strategic enrollment goals of the College and meet the needs of prospective students and stakeholders; promotes efficiency; collaborates with other College departments; and, serves on a variety of College committees.


  • Directs all credit bearing admissions functions including recruitment and enrollment outreach for the college; manages the College’s recruitment CRM software; and supervises application processing.


  • Researches and analyzes market share of students from feeder schools, demographic and geographic location, and on-line learners; collaborates with feeder schools in development of services and programming.


  • Coordinates College calling campaigns related to recruitment, admission, and enrollment; oversees de-registration process for drop-for non-payment.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Public Relations for promotional materials and marketing materials related to enrollment; develops, implements, and assesses recruitment efforts.
  • Develops, supervises, and evaluates on-campus visit recruitment programs, off-campus outreach programs, and recruitment communication plans.


  • Coordinates international student recruitment and admissions, including compliance with federal, state, and College regulations pertaining to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).


  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


  • Coordinates, manages, and executes graduation in collaboration with other campus departments.


  • Performs related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field. Masters preferred.
  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to direct and coordinate work, answer questions, and resolve issues, usually associated with three to five years of related experience or service.


  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of New Mexico for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
