Full-time Description
Position Title: Field Admissions Representative
Department: Admissions
Territory: El Paso, TX
Reports to: Director of Admissions
Supervises: N/A
Classification: Salaried
Status: Exempt
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The remote territory position for the Field Admissions Representatives will have the responsibilities of educating, creating excitement, and providing information to students about Western Tech’s Programs. The ideal candidate will be an effective public speaker who is highly competitive, maintains a positive attitude, and is driven to succeed. Working independently, including nights and weekends, while maintaining a campus office and traveling to high schools in the assigned territory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Deliver enthusiastic, educational WTC-approved presentations to individuals, groups, and classrooms in high schools within an assigned market.
2. Responsible for developing a full schedule; setting presentation appointments is a key component of this role. This includes fostering, developing, and nurturing new and existing contacts within the assigned market through research, in-person visits, appointments, phone calls, and emails to schedule presentations.
3. Adhere to designated scripts and presentations in the classroom.
4. Utilize approved telephone presentation and interview procedures during the enrollment process.
5. Set campus, and/or virtual appointments for prospective students and parents.
6. Interview prospective students about their education goals and qualifications.
7. Lead management of recruitment leads in compliance with policies and procedures.
8. Develop professional rapport with high school students, faculty, and staff, and institute a high school visitation plan that will offer consistent customer service.
9. Attend college/career fairs and any other high school-sponsored events as directed by WTC.
10. Organize and coordinate two mid-year annual meetings with conditionally enrolled students, parents, and college administrative staff.
11. Coordinate events for teachers and counselors as prescribed by the High School business plan.
12. Participate in on-campus functions that benefit the student body as directed by management.
13. Partner with student financial services, career services, and student services to support and encourage the students who have applied and/or enrolled about their decision to further their education through a series of scheduled follow-up activities.
14. Complete all required forms for enrollment, schedule Financial Aid appointments, and follow up to ensure that financial aid packaging is complete.
15. Coordinate with Field Admissions Administrative Assistant to support appointment setting and enrollment stitching process.
16. Develop a plan for connecting with other potential students based on referral information obtained from current students during the interview.
17. Address any inquiries, questions, concerns, or issues and ensure appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, College, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policy, procedures, and legal requirements.
18. Fulfill the field admissions enrollment support responsibilities during the time that school is not in session (i.e., on-campus calling, interviewing, touring, qualifying, and enrolling high school senior students).
19. Complete and provide daily and weekly activity reports in an accurate and timely manner.
20. Categorize lead cards generated by presentations and events according to stated procedures and enter them on the Student Information Systems.
21. Perform other duties as assigned by WTC.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (preferred).
2. Minimum of 1-2 years of admissions recruitment or non-durable goods sales experience.
3. Able to work a flexible schedule that will require evenings and weekends.
4. Ability to travel.
5. Attend and successfully complete all training for this position as required at any time by the rules and regulations for WTC.
6. Have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance.
7. Must have a personal cellphone to be used with the MFA.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
2. Proficient in computer skills.
3. Typing skills proficiency minimum 25wpm at 98% accuracy.
4. Ability to set up and use technology for presentations.
5. Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse population.
6. Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand both English and Spanish.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
8. Must be customer service oriented.
9. Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
10. Creativity and initiative.
11. Must possess excellent telephone skills.
12. Dependability: Timely response to requests for service and assistance.
13. Teamwork: Balances team and individual responsibilities.
14. Decision-making and independent judgment: Displays willingness to make sound and fair decisions.
15. Time Management: Can complete all job requirements in the allotted time.
16. Work Ethic: Displays an organized and results-oriented approach, and motivation to perform without extensive direction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
2. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time, drive, and have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate lab equipment and office equipment.
3. Ability to travel extensively. There will be some evening and weekend responsibilities. Although primarily traveling, will need to have housing arrangements during weekends or days not traveling for the role.
4. Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
