Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs (Relocation to Kuwait Required)

Job Title: Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs

American International University, Kuwait is seeking a visionary leader to oversee strategic planning, execution, and assessment of student affairs and enrollment management, ensuring alignment with the institution's mission. This role drives departmental success, meeting and exceeding college goals.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the chief student advocate, managing support programs, policies, and services.
• Collaborate with institutional partners on program transfer and implementation.
• Work with VPAA and VPESL on enrollment, retention, outreach, and advising.
• Align enrollment efforts with the strategic plan.
• Lead marketing and research initiatives for student services.
• Manage Student Information Systems and oversee Registration, Enrollment, Scholarships, Student Life, athletics, counseling, and career services.
• Handle staff selection, training, evaluations, and performance management.
• Contribute to budgeting with accurate projections and prioritized needs.
• Prepare and present reports on student affairs.
• Represent the college at community events and on committees.
• Stay informed on trends in enrollment, student services, and higher education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Expertise in enrollment services, student programs, and student life.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.
• Confidentiality, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing divisional budgets and leading teams.
• Proficiency in student information systems and technology.
• Knowledge of social media in higher education.
• Availability for evenings and weekends.

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree (preferred in Higher Education Administration or related field).
• Progressive experience in executive roles within higher education.
• Proven leadership in enrollment management or student development programs.
• Experience with student information systems, budgeting, and data-driven decision-making.
